How would you treat a gay romance?

The character is a man, a really well dressed, very stereotypical gay man (an elf mage-blade(!) who talks about wines and clothes etc) who romances only male PCs. He is purely optional of course, he will not force himself on you, and you can turn him down politely or not so politely. If you accept his advances, there is no really risque dialog, but he will get jealous of all other male NPCs in the group (Do you think Minsc is cuter than me type questions and will sulk if you say yes.) If you turn him down politely, he treats you like he would treat a female NPC, by becoming a doting friend, telling you you look great or a color/fabric looks `super' on you. If you turn him down impolitely, he will get really bitchy, and may leave the party if you do not make it clear that you like him, but don't like his passes.
I just wanted to know how men/women would react to him?

(For serious feedback, he'd do nothing for me, but there must be gay BG2 players out there. Getting jealous of the other male NPCs sounds like great humour in prospect).
How will people take it? If a romance mod is good, it'll get respect outside of any gender or sexual orientation issues - especially if the mod still appealed to heterosexual players, from a non-romantic perspective. I say go for it!

Edit: Come to think of it, there's a homosexual option in the Immy and Chloe mods as well.

I agree. I also say to release it.Release it, after all this is only a game, if he's a decent fighter I would use him and give the option to turn him down politely

Kummalliset kalat liukuvat syvyydessä,
tuntemattomat kukat loistavat rannalla;
olen nähnyt punaista ja keltaista ja kaikki toiset värit -
mutta ihana meri on vaarallista nähdä,
se herättää tulevien seikkailujen janon:
mitä on tapahtunut sadussa, on tapahtuva minullekin.

Nice point. Well, I'm not exactly sure why is it so for me, perhaps because it's a different things to play something that have no possible parralels in RL, like spellcasting, using Potion of Extra Healing or, err... TOTAL CARNAGE!!! - it's just fun; and things that exists in RL and which I, hm, think to be... well, you get the ideaYes, of course, homosexuality is so much more disgusting than murder, which already abounds in the game
