1. I could quit the ingame movies if I decide too. (Not just speeding them up). I watch them, but it's very annoying when you crash to have to watch them again straight away. I'd rather skip the first playing too.
2. You could equip missile launchers when you have two-weapons equipped. Why can you change to a sling when you left hand holds a large-shield, but not if you are holding a club?
3. You could equip bows with a shield in your offhand, and that it just removed the AC bonus of the shield when you do. (Having to change out a shield is a real pain - even if this was only allowable with bucklers/small shields perhaps).
4. I could rest anywhere, especially in Athkatla, I can 'imagine' my party walking to an Inn. To press the 'rest' button and be transported inside the nearest inn would be a dream. I'd only use it occassionally...
5. That the intro movies would disappear (if you can't remove them already).
6. That Imoen and Nalia's 'Stealth' slots were 'Quick-spell' slots. I never stealth either of them, and want stealth in special abilities. I find these slots most handy for stoneskin, as I cast it at least once every 'day'.
7. That battle-music only played if monsters were reasonably tough to kill in relation to party. One location (Underdark? can't remember) plays very muted battle-music and it's a welcome relief.
8. Imprisonment didn't end romances.
9. Free-action action items never interfered with speed items. (As opposed to randomly).
10. Game archived every '20' saves to a new folder to avoid long load lists. (And then compressed the folder haha).
11. That Ingame movies had a seperate volume slider. Speech is really loud, but if you turn it down a bit the narrator becomes inaudible.
12. That you didn't have to go to the Sahuagin city to complete the silver-sword. Githyanki outside the illithid-prison in the underdark should serve the purpose of the ship-scene. Saemon should have stowed the blade on you in Spellhold. I'd rather only miss out on the cloak if I took the portal (which I'll never do as it stands). Minor, but annoying.
Just some ideas. Apologies if these features are already available, if so please advise.

2) Remove race and class restrictions.
3) Have more people in the party.
If you only succeed in #1 you'll be my hero. I think monk kits and monk multiclass/dualclass would go a long way to making that class interesting again.

Paladins and rangers not automatically falling would be more interesting, perhaps.Reputation cap (capped at 20, iirc?)

Okay, it looks like my goal will be to see if there's away to modify race/class limitations, and add kits to the classes that don't have them (doubtfull).. after I'm done with that I'll post my findings.. I'll see if I can find anything about the reputation cap, but that sounds like a needle in a haystack.

Certainly does sound like an EULA violating hack...
I don't read my EULAs. I don't wanna know...

1. The data files are not different from the exe. They are part of the program. So modifying just one game file would be illegal regarding the EULA. On the other hand, even bioware/blackisle [rip] praised modding.
2. Obviously the hack will alter only data embedded in the .exe, not code lines. There are MANY tables embedded in the exe that didn't made it to a .2da or specialised data file.
3. It is harmless to hack the exe (except for bypassing copy protection). Therefore no one cares.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, what would be interesting, and most likely possible
1. i would like to see any way to alter race/class/etc restrictions.
2. the number of weapon proficiencies

I wrote this before but lets recap:

2. the number of weapon proficiencies
I've been looking to see if I can add subclasses to the three classes without any.. I'm wishing I had all of my old SLS tools from 15 years ago, then it'd be easy - I could decompile and recompile while running the darned thing.
I don't even know what, if anything, I'll be able to find. but it's something to do.
