I tried an BWP Tactic-Installation overnight with the BWS-beta (what should not really make a difference)

I encountered problems with several mods and actually am not sure if they really come (all) from these mods. I couldn't install three components of SCSI for example, what I cannot really believe to be not caused by some other mod, the fixpack or whatever.

Might have better luck if you post the ERRORs and the mod installs where each was encountered in textual (rather than .doc) format. Put them in SPOILER tags if it's gonna be spammy.

As for the actual problems, well I guess you want to resolve your install issues first...
