I apologize if this has been addressed already, but I've been unable to find it if it has. As far as I can tell I've followed every step correctly, and I've reinstalled both games to try it again. Both were a full install. I then attempted to use the BiG World Install to install it and received the same error. I'm going to attach the debug files and paste the error below. I'll be happy to give any other information needed. Thanks so much for any help.

Did I see it correct, that you try to install BGT after your whole megamod installation?

BGT must be installed in the correct order and it looks like, that this doesn't happen the first time you run the Install.bat.
You can't use your installation anymore and you should do a complete fresh clean install if you want to use BGT correctly.

It looks like something is wrong with your installation of your games and BGT. Try to install BGT with your games and without other mods, to see, if BGT will be installed.

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

Even though the first time I tried to install it, it was with no other mods, I decided to try it again with a fresh install. I reinstalled both games and tried it again. . .same error. It also never asks me for the BG1 directory even though it says it can't find it. Anyway, here's the debug file again.

Start over. From what I can tell from the Debug file you have installed DSotSC before BGT (other problem too), it needs to go after. Fully uninstall/delete BG2 and carefully install per BWP.

I did, apparently it appears I tried to do so when I installed to the same directory, I think you'll find this one a little less congested.

Not sure what the problem is but what operating system? You might try redownloading BGT again? I got to go. Good luck!

I did try redownloading BGT, perhaps I'll try a previous version. . .The operating system is XP.

EDIT: I found a version of 1.01 which oddly appears to patching as of now. If anyone still has any ideas they'd be appreciated, as I'd like to be able to use the BiG World tool in order to use more mods. The 1.07 version never asked me for the path for BG1, I still think that might have had something to do with. Again, thank you for any help.

Then it most likelly is not XP's fault... as it should work.

Hmm, did you try to install the BGT v1.07 without any other interfearing program, and made sure that you had fresh full installation of BG2(SoA+ToB+patch v(2.5.)26498) game in a fresh directory(and if it's not, you need to remove all the files from it before you reinstall the game)... and fresh full custom BG1+BGTotSC+patch v(1.3.)5512. It should then take about 2.5Gb's for the BG1, while the BG2 should take about 2.7Gb's(+ the mod files).
The reason why I ask that is that you have error cause the installer can't find all the files, but does some.

And yes, you'll find the v1.01, but it's old version and as the v1.07 is the whole package, so the v1.07 won't wortk with v1.01 as an update.

Yes my last reinstall was done in a fresh directory with no other mods and patched fully. . .the messages make it look like the program is trying to uninstall instead of install for some reason.

Well, the mod uninstalls itself, cause it can't complete itself, as the installer doesn't 'like to make' a mess of your game...

I would suggest to go off line from the Internet, make a quick/complete virus check, and then disable all security and other programs and try to reinstall. As some virus protection programs might mess with something, and there is a chance that the cmd.exe forget's to clear the input command, or something like that.

This could not help at all, but I think something is going wrong when this is going on from the tp2. . .

///////////////////////////////////////////////////////
// now check to prevent override directory being empty
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////

ACTION_IF (NOT FILE_EXISTS ~BGT/Input.txt~)
OR (NOT FILE_EXISTS ~BGT/bg1.tra~)
OR (NOT FILE_EXISTS ~BG1CRE/D2ISL.CRE~)
THEN BEGIN
FAIL @100015
END

I took that out just to see what would happen, and I it did have an error, but it was one much later on. Here's the error report.

Ok, your main problem is BGT and it could be that your BG1 installation is corrupt or something is missing. I don't know. Have you checked your CDs/DVDs? Are there scratches on it?

Have you tried the BiG World Setup?
If yes, could you ran it until the end without warnings about BG1?
If not, try a BGT-minimum installation, change nothing and let the tool completely make its work. After the Setup and the Install.bat finishes, look if BGT is installed.

Before you start the BiG World Setup, do a fresh clean install like it is described here:

I'll do that again tomorrow; I know that BGT says that both my BG and BGII are good installs. When I tried to use BiG World the first time, BGT gave me the same error.
