Heeelp! Baldurs gate doesn't open up / other problem

Hey,

I just finished the cloakwood mines, after which the game advanced a chapter and told me to go to BG. However, the area (as well as the bridge) remains grayed out! Also, I can't seem to solve the quest "Shadows in cloakwood". I advanced through all parts of the cloakwood, including 4, as well as the mines, but can't find any island, although I found some (arch-)druids in other places, which I usually had to kill. The guy in front of the treehouse (the one inside it is dead) has nothing to say. It seems I also started Darker sides of the sword coast after talking to an elf chick in front of the friendly arms in, a new forest is the only new location I can go to right now. Did my game somehow get broken?

Did you try reaching baldur's gate the normal way- going north of friendly arms inn, in the ankheg region, and then north again to access the bridge?

A druid gave me the task of finding two missing people, they had been sent to infiltrate the shadow druids I think. I found one of them, he told me that the other was held by the archdruid(s) on some island where they were planning on sacrificing her. Troulbe is, even after cleaning out all instances of cloakwood forest as well as the cloakwood mine, there's still no location to be found where her or the druid(s) would be. I simply can't seem to find her / the correct place.

In the German forum someone reported a child, which he can't find in the Cloackwood Forest.
Is the second missing person perhaps a child? Have you get a description of the person you should find?

Hello there. I believe he's talking about this quest (Yet another fabulous job by the modders :Bow: )

And about the missing areas, (I may not be the right guy to talk about this cause I haven't reached that part :P but still) from the SoBH mod, I found that some areas are only unlocked by exiting the map at certain points. Now, whenever I get to a new map, I explore the edges first and make it a point to exit through each edge atleast once. And when the worldmap pops up, I click on where I am (not going anywhere :P) That way, you can get the areas marked on the worldmap without going there :P

And don't forget to check elevations. For example, in SoBH, in the Temple area, if you exit the map from the top-left, you can get to Tri-Top but exiting the area from the top-right gets you to the graveyard ;) And the right part of the Temple map seems to be on a cliff (explaining why you get the different areas :D)

Try going to the Wood of the Dead 1st (after killing the zombies at Wenric's Farm) and then exit off the south edge of the map and Northern Citadel should be reachable. I'll need to look at some of the travel links for some of these problem areas.

Yep, that's the one. Unfortunately I can't really make much sense of the walkthrough. However, it seems to imply a fight with Andarthe as well as Maretha being found within the treehouse. Well, he doesn't attack and he doesn't have anything to say. There's nobody inside the treehouse (the guy who was upstairs is, as I mentioned, quite dead.)

Go back outside of Baldur's Gate and try exiting from the north side of the map screen. Either on the West side of the river north of the entrance to Baldur;s gate or on the East side of the river near Tenya's house. That should reveal "Farms over Chionthar" where Wenric needs help with the Zombies. Try not to kill any Zombies until after you talk to Wenric, then when that quest is done, talk to him again, and exit the area from the NE corner of the screen. Wood of the dead should be visible at that point, then once there, exit Wood of the Dead from the bottom of the screen and you should be able to travel to Northern Citadel. (Sounds like I need to add some additional travel links)

Yes, the walkthrough is a little complicated and there are many variables. The person in the German forum has the same problem to understand the walkthrough. He find nobody inside the treehouse, too. It would be great, if you can post your problem in the BG1 NPC Project forum. The people there knows the quest and perhaps they can help us, to solve this problem.

Yes, that was a tragedy and three people are buried, but no one knows, who are buried there. The search for them is ongoing.
