I plan on doing a installation using BG1 + bg2 and its expansions with BGT

If I use the Big World install bat would I have to edit all the mods that I do not want to install in the bat file? Or can I just not include them in the SOA folder..

And how do I extract executables such g3 fixpack? Do I create another folder and extract it to there then move those files to my SOA folder? thankyou any help is appreciated

I've been trying start up for a while now and Ive been getting my install bat file crashing.. heres the debug log

Been trying for a few days now and it is so frustrating to have to reinstall everytime and unpack everything time and time again..

.\Big World Smoothpack\_modify\BiG World Fixpack.bat
.\Big World Smoothpack\_modify\BiG World Smoothpack.bat
.\Big World Smoothpack\_modify\BiG World Textpack.bat
3 file(s) copied.

If you have not done it yet, please read the first post of this thread for more informations.

If I use the Big World install bat would I have to edit all the mods that I do not want to install in the bat file? Or can I just not include them in the SOA folder..

Only the mods you have extracted into your BG2 main directory were be installed by the install.bat.

And how do I extract executables such g3 fixpack? Do I create another folder and extract it to there then move those files to my SOA folder? thankyou any help is appreciated

It is all fine with the executables of the G3 mods. You can extract them in the BG2 main directory directly. Only by the PPG Mods you must be careful. See about that the Linklist and the description of the NSIS-Installer.

I've been trying start up for a while now and Ive been getting my install bat file crashing.. heres the debug log

Have you tried the new BWP v5.5.2? And do you have Windows XP or Vista? If you have Vista you could get problems with our BW Fixpack. Here you can read how you can fix it then.

Greetings Leomar
A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

The g3 fixpack asks me to install the items though. Do I just exit the command console then?

Yes, with the Q. Or you can Extract all the .exe's with a suitable extractor, Winrar can do that for G3BG2 Fixpack.exe ... if the Winrar is installed to your computer.

BP177 <------ DO I NEED THIS AND THE BP177 TOB FIX?

Yes. As you will be wanting the Ascensions primary component that's in the BP177

Now to comment at the order, you'll have bugs without the BWP's fixpack... so I would use the BWP's auto installer.

If you follow the steps in the Big World Project manual to the letter then you can't go wrong. Excellent piece of work. I've got an install similar to yours and everything is good so far:

1. BWP Installer & Tools (latest) - not forgetting End Biff and a copy of the latest WeiDU file (currently 2.08).
2. Mods (in order)- G3 BG2 Fixpack, Baldurdash 1.66, TDD, SoS, CtB, TS, RoT, BGT and Restored Music, DSoSC, NToSC, (SoBH), BG1 UB, BGII UB, (ToD) and BG2 Tweaks.
3. Worldmap (latest, currently v7).

Extract all to BG2 directory.

Ascension (and BP), FR, Defjam & Widescreen I haven't used yet. If you install manually make sure it's done in the exact order that the manual outlines. My auto-install went perfectly.

You don't need TotSC patch.

What? I wouldn't risk my whole BGT-BigWorld experience just because I was lazy not installing a patch to a game... You don't need to reinstall the BG1 everytime for BWP, but that's a different thing!

I KNOW, my mistake. I got my edit in just before your post, but you got me. For some reason I was thinking of the BG patch 23037. Marks for the rest of my post? ;)

Thought I'd got away with that criminal faux pas!

Is the BWP 5.5.2 manual the end all be all install order? I thought rogue rebalancing came after BP WEIDU not at the very beginning

No, it's generally the most resent edition of known compatibility guide, there are few mods that can be installed after... Level 1 NPCs for example.

But what comes to Rogue Rebalance, it might have the latest Detectable Spells, which means it needs to be installed last if no other mod that needs it has it, if one wants to "benefit" from the all AIs hardness. As the thing is always over written when installed.

In BWP, Rogue Rebalancing is installed in multiple parts and at various times in order to maximize compatibility with other mods. The "Proper dual-wielding implementation for Thieves and Bards" component is the only part of RR which is installed before Big Picture, though that's only necessary if you intend to use NeJ. This is all nicely explained in the BWP guide.

In short, the BWP instructions are accurate, just make sure to read them properly. ;)

Take a screen shot from the directory you have the mods, and we'll instruct, what to do.

If we take the Extracted mods screen shot first:
1) "Assasinations_v3", "BarterpackV9", "BoM_Item_pack", "CespyAudio", "Dungeon Crawl", both "Kelsey" mods, "Keto-..", "Nathaniel", "NPC-flirt.." and both "Xan" mods, are not fully unpacked, you should move them to other directory, run them as they are .exes, and as they ask directory to unpack, put them to the current "Extracted BG2 mods". They might run the setup-x.exe, which starts the WeiDU installer, but that can be exited, with Q, and because they are not in the BGII directory, they can't hurt you. You'll get extra setup-x.debug files from them, but they are just small that doesn't need to be done nothing.
2) And for some reason there is at least one mod unpacked too much as there is "are", "cre", "dialogue", "bmp", "snip", "dos", "bcs" and "spl" "English" and few other -directories that are all sign that one or more somewhat big mod is extracted too much.

And then the BGII directory screen. I am afraid that you have already run-ed something in the directory, and so it needs to be uninstalled and removed and re-installed, patched and run-ed one time; so you get the default clean install to which you might want to make backup out of... and then input the unpacked mods, after the directory is "cleaned" from the mod trash("are", "cre", "dialogue", "bmp", "snip", "dos", "bcs", "English" and "spl"-directories).

Well I appreciate everyones efforts and would like ot thank the creators of these wonderful mods gonna go read up a bit more on this and try it manually, going to have to start fresh

but I do have one request if someone can post a screenie of what their mods extracted look like or their SOA directory... thankyou so much.

Well Let's see what I did wrong so far.. unpacked some mods too far.. I ran BWP Fixpack at the beginning before a BWP auto install.. bad idea.. But I did read that you run BWP fixpack before installer somewhere in the PDF
