I know I had to get the quest from Shaella and the Duke, before going on to Chapter 6, and that her's is completed in Chapter 6. But should I do the Duke's Northern Citadel Quest before going to him and starting the events that kick off the return to Candlekeep, or can that also be done after the formal end of BG 1.

Also with Weinrc, and the zombies down at the farm. I have played through several times, each time I kill 20 zombies and go back, and he keeps telling me I need to kill more. Is there a 21st one hidden somewhere, or am I trying to do this one too early, or is some Global value not setting.

Currently my character has all the city quests done, but am holding off talking to the Duke and wrapping up some things, thought I would kill his zombies to get the map marker. Should I wait and do this after ending BG 1 and killing off Savok.

I am playing BWP v 5.4 and vNTotSC4BGTv160a andDialog Revamp NTotSCv162a as per instructions in the mega mod manual.

thanks

I can't answer your question about NTotSC. Perhaps someone else could help you.

But I know something about this:

Also with Weinrc, and the zombies down at the farm. I have played through several times, each time I kill 20 zombies and go back, and he keeps telling me I need to kill more. Is there a 21st one hidden somewhere, or am I trying to do this one too early, or is some Global value not setting.

That is not from NTotSC. This bug is from vanilla BG1. You have some quests with killing a number of enemies.

It is due to the fact that opponents do not count as killed if one they "destroy" in the most true sense of the word. This means if you hit the opponent so violently that he leaves no corpse on the ground in the death, he is not evaluated as killed. There is apparently for these Quests a counter which checks whether everybody was killed for the execution of the Quests necessary opponent. Only if the opponent leaves no corpse, he is not counted. The fact that the opponent leaves no corpse, it happens always then when you hit too violently.

Normally that is a problem with the German version of the game, because we have not the Gore option. At first it was said, we must install the Gore option to solve this problem. But we have find out, that this is not the solution. It was checked again and we thought this will not happen in a BGT megamod. But now your bug-report tells us it otherwise. I will tell your problem in our German forum, too, so that we discuss about it again.

10thLich in-game solution is as follows:

There is a "Fix", one kills the suitable opponents simply with a little weaker party member, best of all with distant fighters. After I kill the opponents with my archers, everything has functioned perfectly.

Do you play an englisch version of BG?

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

Leomar I didn't know that the bodies had to be intact, or it would not count as a kill. Interesting to know that, that explains another 'count' quest I did somewhere in the game where I kept coming up short, not sure where. I would have just dropped doing the quest but he points to another area I need once done. My paladin has eighteen strength and a plus two great sword from somewhere, that coupled with Coran and the others means sometimes there are chunks. I am lvl eight and of course zombies are a cakewalk at this point. ie Gavin has the plus two hammer from that drop off the mad cleric. We'll tone down our weapons, and try not to see any chunks fly. There are an awfully lot of uber drops in the game, but mostly I bag those, figured though I am seeing some plus two's so that would be fine, but perhaps it's the level relative to the zombie, and too many of them did fly off in pieces. Should have done this one right after cloakwood instead of right before chapter six.

Thank you so very much

Wow you were so right Leomar! I can't believe they do a count this way.. I had Ajantis and myself stand in front, with their AI's off and had Coran and the two mages throw stones and arrows, so no chunks! Since I had no crowd control spells loaded, let my front two catch whatever got 'to' close. Once you turn this quest in though he does pipe in putting the Fields of the Dead on your map which is why I did want it. Probably other ways to get that, but going to the edges of the farm map, it didn't pop up for me for some reason, hence wanting to get this quest completed.

Greetings and Salutations Leomar

You've helped so much here and there on this and other boards, what a kind person you are. FYI I am playing the English install. Sounds we started about the same time, but I got sidetracked by two other characters I am playing through, until I decided to finish out one play through. I know you guys are still looking for glitches so I try to post them as I come across something or problems.
