These are the mods I'll install. All mods are in their latest version as of this post. Scsii, Level1npcs are the beta versions. I have also the hotfix for BG2Fixpack. Detailed WeiDU.log coming up after the install game.

Can somebody proofread for eventual glaring conflicts (apart from the couple of usual UB buggy components)?
I'm going for a Keto-themed party, so my planned party lineup is as follows:
Ennelia female human FMT (gone through BG1 solo and uncapped, so she has ~400k XP per class and 19/19/19/19/x/x stats).
Aerie - L1NPC to F/C (the only person who can wear any normal armor, lol)
Solaufein
Haer Dalis
Keto - L1NPC to Geomantic Sorceror
Kelsey - L1NPC to Wild Mage (unfortunately, the GS kit kills Refinements' Sorc HLAs, meaning I can't use him as a normal Sorc).

Oh, regarding your sig, I could, in theory, contact you about any mod, as you have contributed to pretty much all mods nowadays by making BiggDU.

Is that the new trend? I always recall "Fixpack before Ascension because Asc. doesn't overwrite enough stuff to cause problems"The glaringly old mods should be before all newer mods, which includes the fixpack. Other than that, it seems solid enough.
Will keep it in mind though.
I added it after (in a single week) two people IM'd me up asking how to install BGT (which I never did), another how to recruit Irenicus from TLR (which I never did), and two people asking me to code some D files for them (I still can't code them without constantly referring to the WeiDU readme).Oh, regarding your sig, I could, in theory, contact you about any mod, as you have contributed to pretty much all mods nowadays by making BiggDU.
But I feel it still delivers the idea, so it stays

LOL, I installed DBG by mistakeAm I missing something, or doesn't one cancel the other?
Besides, you can cheat and use I.I. to have the summoning acorns even without fighting him
Yeah, I noticed that after the install gameBTW, Dungeon Crawl is v3 now, which solves a few minor issues.
thankfully, I was able to simply unzip v3 and [R]einstall it without issues.

Ascension definitely has to go upfront until the next version, because it does - "overwrite enough stuff to cause problems".Is that the new trend? I always recall "Fixpack before Ascension because Asc. doesn't overwrite enough stuff to cause problems"The glaringly old mods should be before all newer mods, which includes the fixpack. Other than that, it seems solid enough.
Will keep it in mind though.
Same goes for vanilla Tactics. Otherwise, you can put it almost anywhere if you use the modified TP2.
I don't know any reason why Banter Pack or DBG have to go upfront, but I can't think of any reason why doing so would cause problems. In fact, you probably want DBG dead-last so you can uninstall it when done with it.
Since you're putting "old" mods upfront, FR-RoV makes me nervous, despite it being supported, so I will be putting that upfront as well in my future games.
L1NPCs will, eventually, go live. Don't know when, but it's best not to fuck with genius. I would put it just before DBG in a "dead-last" scenario, just because when version 1 is released, you'll mess up your install less by having it low on the totempole.
As for these two mods: "Key Names" and "Learn Through Use" - link us, baby. I've never heard of them.

Meaning the v1.5.01 even if then, not the v1.4.23 etc...Ascension definitely has to go upfront until the next version, because it does - "overwrite enough stuff to cause problems".
I think that they aren't any official one's, just private mega-fixes, just like melkor_morgoth75's.As for these two mods: "Key Names" and "Learn Through Use" - link us, baby. I've never heard of them.

Don't I love being recommended fixes being buried into a two years old topic in a completely different forum?Same goes for vanilla Tactics. Otherwise, you can put it almost anywhere if you use the modified TP2.
Also, that is for BP right? If so, I don't need it.
Why would I want to uninstall DBG anyway?I don't know any reason why Banter Pack or DBG have to go upfront, but I can't think of any reason why doing so would cause problems. In fact, you probably want DBG dead-last so you can uninstall it when done with it.
I'm pretty sure it extends and patches all files it touches anyway. And I've overwritten deitm049.itm with sw1h01.itm to block problems.Since you're putting "old" mods upfront, FR-RoV makes me nervous, despite it being supported, so I will be putting that upfront as well in my future games.
No need to install 'stable' 1 once I've started the game anyway.L1NPCs will, eventually, go live. Don't know when, but it's best not to fuck with genius. I would put it just before DBG in a "dead-last" scenario, just because when version 1 is released, you'll mess up your install less by having it low on the totempole.

Keep in mind that iiLTU + L1NPC = no Styles, which greatly reduces tactical opportunities.

Heh, I will. Unfortunately, it's usually easier to find bugs in stuff like Solaufein or D0QuestPack (because I already know them in and out), while said mods will lay fix-less for the years to come.Hope you can find the time to post your notes as your game progresses.
Besides, I don't have anything of yours there (*), so I won't be of any use to you anyway
*: yeah, you have some RE components - which aren't exactly bug magnets and/or impossible to properly test before release anyway

Looks like I'm rusty on battling Tactics-style mobs.
EDIT: after ~10 tries, I can almost take them out with some luck and disabling spells off the screen. Instead, I took the coward's way out and asked for Jasper's help.

- Werewolves' attacks started out as non-damaging and started damaging me only in mid-battle.
- L1NPC's initial items allocation clashes with BG1 Style Weapon Proficiencies. I don't know if fixing this is more trouble than worth, though.
- Kalah cast one Magic Missile at Quayle and then happily sat with a thumb up his ass while we killed his 'beasties' and them him.
- Once I finished the quest, there were three sets of (flail, sling, bullets, 20 gp) on the floor - one where Kalah laid, and the other two in a pile in the middle of the room.

They're illusions (they switch to a damaging weapon after you hit them -- i.e., the idea is that you "believe" them by attacking them, and then the damage becomes real).- Werewolves' attacks started out as non-damaging and started damaging me only in mid-battle.
Default AI bug. (I fix this.)- Kalah cast one Magic Missile at Quayle and then happily sat with a thumb up his ass while we killed his 'beasties' and them him.
CopyGroundPilesTo(). You get illusionary Kalah's, jelly Quayle's, and then real Kalah's. (Guess what? I fix this too. I'm all kinds of quality!)- Once I finished the quest, there were three sets of (flail, sling, bullets, 20 gp) on the floor - one where Kalah laid, and the other two in a pile in the middle of the room.

I never got them before, and Quayle didn't die.CopyGroundPilesTo(). You get illusionary Kalah's, jelly Quayle's, and then real Kalah's. (Guess what? I fix this too. I'm all kinds of quality!)

I also forgot to mention: Aerie didn't give her "Uncle Quayle! You're OK" speech.

Sorry, the thread is old but the TP2 is fresh baked bread! And I did post the suggestion to PPG, but...
The TP2 is not a fix but an attempt to add some compat to Tactics. Although designed for BP it will work without it--actually, that's part of the design.
It has an added benefit of preventing Tactics from flushing the IDS's. Naughty Tactics. You can make that adjustment in your own game very easily without using the TP2.Why would I want to uninstall DBG anyway?I don't know any reason why Banter Pack or DBG have to go upfront, but I can't think of any reason why doing so would cause problems. In fact, you probably want DBG dead-last so you can uninstall it when done with it.

Yes-yes, the first part is well-known and why we still love the mod. It's things like the 2nd that makes me nervous, so I want g3Fixpack to fix-or-flag anything that slips thru. If you fixed it locally, fine, but some of us are not such Big Brains to know how to do this.
