I'm pretty sure I have the latest version of BGT-WeiDU Zeta (downloaded and installed on 28th Dec 05) so is this supposed to happen or is it a bug. How do I win this seemingly unwinnable fight?

Thanks.

I remember that you asked about installing a bunch of other mods on top of BGT-WeiDU. Can you post the contents of your WeiDU.log?

Agamemnon, can you get the Harpers to attack you again, and during the attack, pause the game then type the following command into the console (case-sensitive):
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("harperxzarfued","GLOBAL")
Does it return a number to you? If so, what number does it return?
Thanks.

OK, I cannot pinpoint the exact problem at the moment, but this is a compatibility issue between TDD and BGT-WeiDU. Only TDD uses the GLOBAL variable that I asked you to check, and Lucette definitely attacks the player like you mention in TDD. I guess you could at the moment, go into baldur.ini, add the line:It returns the number 4.
You can check by the size of the file BGT099Z-Install.rar. As you view the approximate file size in a Details View of a folder in Windows XP, if the file size is 8905 KB, then you have an older version. If you have a file size of 8901 KB, then it is the updated version. If it is neither, then something must have went wrong as well!Is there a way of checking whether I do have the latest version of BGT-WeiDU zeta.. I'm pretty sure I do since I only downloaded it a few days ago, but is it possible to check somehow?
You'll need to re-install, but provided you re-install all mods in the same order, savegames should not be affected (although you probably want to start a new game just to be safe, and you haven't gotten too far into the game yet).If there is a later version do I need to reinstall and start over or can I just overwrite the modified files?
I have recently added this to the 'partially compatible' section in the compatibility thread. The reason why the error occurs is because of SONGLIST.2DA (hence, 'SONGLIST.2DA incompatibility'). You can alleviate this problem by opening up override\SONGLIST.2DA using notepad, after installing all the mods you want to install, and deleting every text after the following text:1. I had installed and then uninstalled the Chloe mod (immediately after the Saerileth mod). I had to do this because it crashed the game as soon as I tried to start the game... didn't even get a loadscreen and the error message flashed too quickly for me to read it. I redownloaded the mod and tried again with the same result so I don't think it's compatible with BGT. Anyway, it's a BG2 mod so probably has nothing to do with the harper/Xzar issue but what do you think?
I think you have the older version of ZETA. Check the file size as above.2. I noticed in another post that some players using BGT-WeiDU zeta are not able to go to the area north of the Friendly Arms Inn... I can (and nearly got slaughtered by ankhegs but managed to bag one for a nice suit of armour :-) . Also, the black bears I see wandering around are friendly... wasn't this corrected for the latest release, so perhaps I do have a corrupt or old version of BGT-WeiDU zeta?

Is it possible that this adds in additional attacks against Xzar? I haven't used this since testing it many months ago for Sim and I only tested on BP, not BGT.~SETUP-D0QUESTPACK.TP2~ #0 #4 // Alternative Harper/Xzar Plot

Interesting, I will have to take a look at this one. Some bears must not have the BEAR.BCS script set.Btw, re my post about the "friendly" bears it seems that the only friendly bears are the ones in the area where Gorion gets killed and in the crossroads south of the Friendly Arms Inn. The bears I came across in the High Hedge and Bergost Temple area are hostile.
I can't tell you answer to this because I, surprisingly, have never played TDD past Chateau Irenicus!I think this means that I do have the latest version so hopefully the harper bug was just a one-off.
KD reported this bug not too long ago and has been fixed for the next release.Kivan: I managed to get him to join me but only by choosing the first dialogue option (which I thought was the least likely to succeed). The other dialogue options result in him staying neutral... is that supposed to happen?

Any changes required on the BGT-WeiDU side of things? I might need to add similar things to the compatibility side of things to remain consistent.

Yes, yes, it's TDD issue. I've got it as well some time ago and fixed it (that was briefly reported in my bug-thread at the very beginning).
To fix that it's necessary to edit BALDUR.BCS.
All triggers that have checks for any "...xzarfued..." variables/timers must contain Global("ENDOFBG1","GLOBAL",2) as well.
And sorry, no auto-fix for it. That will be fixed only in the new release of TDD.

Glancing at your install list, I noticed you have both the BG1NPC project and the following components from BGTTWEAK:
~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #0 // Eldoth reminds of Skie's ransom
~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #1 // Angelo notices Shar-teel
~SETUP-BGTTWEAK.TP2~ #0 #2 // Finishable Kagain caravan quest
BG1NPC features its own versions of these (well, definitely of the second two, and I'm pretty sure of the first as well), and two or more mods trying to do exactly the same thing often leads to trouble. It doesn't always cause problems though, but I just thought I'd warn you of the possibility.

Well, if it involves the global variable ENDOFBG1 then it is a TDD problem with BGT compatibility. I would only put something like that in the compatibility section, not the core TDD installation, again being consistent. No, it's pure TDD problem.

Follow-up on the bears, not the Harpers assassins bug which is already fixed for the next versions of BGT-WeiDU and TDD:Interesting, I will have to take a look at this one. Some bears must not have the BEAR.BCS script set.
