Old Paladin back from the dead

Some of you might recall that I used to be quite active in the BG2 community (soundsets, forum spamming, first incarnation of multiple romance scripts, etc.), but as it has been the better part of two years since anyone has heard from me I doubt I will be that well remembered by now
Anyway, I just wanted to post here to say that after two very forgettable years I have decided to come "back to the fold", assuming I am still welcome, as despite keeping my fingers crossed it seems highly unlikely that there will ever be a CRPG as good as BG/SoA/ToB again... and certainly not one with the excellent community that the BG-series has. I am also posting here as before my disappearance (which, without going into details, was finance and work related... don't worry, I haven't been stuck in Guantanamo Bay or Irenicus's Asylum!) I had started to work on an NPC Mod called "Chrysta" which I am keen to pick up again. The Chrysta forum I had up on "www.shsforums.net" has, of course, gone now due to my long absence, and I need to get up to speed on the tools again...
Anyway... its good to be back, and I have no intentions of going AWOL again in the foreseeable future, I promise!
P.S. I noticed that there is an installation manual for the "Big Picture" multi-mod, but is there one out there (or a clear set of instructions) for the "Big Picture + BG Trilogy" mod? First thing I want to do now I'm back is play all the new stuff to get a handle on what "gaps" I can help fill with some modding... and the big "all in one" mods seem the best way to go about it.

There is also guides for the BP-BGT-NEJ-++ mod installation. Check out the forum, there's even more goodies that work with it now. (Main thanks go to SirBillyBob and his 10 dancing fingers.)
Good to see you again. :thumb:

I take it from your reply that the Chrysta forum was merely archived rather than deleted - in which case I am eternally grateful! <hugs>Welcome back indeed! We'd thought you'd gone the way of the Dodo. So, are you intending to pick up on Chrysta again? I can always resurrect the forum for it if so.

I'll pm you when I reckon it would be a good time for that - not only have I been away for a long time I haven't even had access to a non-work PC for that time either (which means zero BG experience for nearly two years!... aaargh!). Therefore I need a few weeks to get my head around game mechanic (and particularly how the modding tools work), and so I would only want the Chrysta forum to reappear when I can start putting something significant on it again. The worst thing that could happen IMHO is for the forum to get put up again, and then sit there for a fortnight with nothing new on it!
Anyhoo... nice to hear from you as well hlid. Good to see that I have not been entirely forgotten

Since you asked about BGT, I will mention another mod - BG1 Tutu. This is from http://www.pocketplane.net/tutu and converts BG1's story to your BG2 installation, giving you the resolution, kits etc. So if that's what you wanted BGT for, I'd recommend Tutu.
