As a result of an IRC-conversation, I decided to finally release the "Worship the Unseeing Eye-mod".

Download
For download, click here.

About
This mod gives you the opportunity to worship the Unseeing Eye. To begin the life as a follower of the Unseeing Eye, answer "Yes" when Gaal, the preacher in the Temple district, asks you if you want to worship the Unseeing Eye. Simple as that.

Installation
Click the WtUE-v1.exe. Follow the instructions. The WtUE-v1.exe will execute the WeiDU installer to install the mod.

To assure maximum compatibility, this mod ought to be installed before any other WeiDU-mods. This is, however, not required for the mod to work.

Known Bugs
I can safely assure everyone that there are no bugs in v1, it's fully tested.

Credits

Thanks to:

I'll gladly mirror this on the IEGMC Mirrors, with your permission of course. Just let me know if I may and which folder you would like it put in (i.e. a folder solely for WtUE or a folder named after you: SConrad).

:w00t: Excellent work, Seb. I can assure everyone who installs it that it`s bound to add an additional amazing degree of replayability and immersion to this wonderful game. Fantastic mod, congrats!

Um, this isn't a joke mod I hope? I mean it adds real roleplaying options to that quest instead of an easter-egg, right?

An SConrad-folder would be great, thanks. :)

If you want to host some other of my mods, you can download them from here.

Thank you very much for those kind words. :)

Trust me, the mod is very realistic. And I can assure you that the total play-time for this mod is *very* long.

I will be expanding this concept to create an even more in depth mod soon (I was the other half of the IRC conversation you see, so... :-)

MTS, you're naturally free to host it, if you wish.

Disclaimer; igi's mod will be much more in depth than mine. ;)

42 downloads from my server on WtUE, btw. :D

SConrad,

Normally I LOVE your mods! THIS one however...

So, I get to the part where I am asked if I want to worship the Unseeing Eye. I say YES. ..........

Screen goes dark, and stays dark. Game opening musik plays. This continues until I reboot.

Either:

A: This is a bug.

B: There are compatibility issues with this and some of the (many) other mods I have installed. (My FIRST guess) :crying:

C: The whole thing is as planned. The screen SHOULD be dark as, in order to worship the Unseeing Eye my character had to lose his eyes and is now effectively blind for the duration of the game/quest. (And while we're on the subject, maybe some guy down in the Cult area could clean up as a merchant selling Seeing Eyed Familiars???)

Anyway... Like I said, normally I love your work but I think I musta screwed up on the install for this one.

They say the world is going to Hell.

They are wrong.

The world IS Hell! Always has been, always will be; except perhaps for the five percent or so of the population who can afford differently.

And, if one must reside in Hell, it is far better to do it as a minion of the Devil than as a member of the damned.

Minotaur, you just made my day. :D

C is the right alternative. I put the mod together in about 15 minutes, after an IRC-discussion (they tend to be very serious). So, uninstall the mod, or just reply "No." to Gaal.

igi is actually planning a real Unseeing Eye-mod. I've spoken to him about it, and it'll turn out just great!

In the future perhaps you should say it is a joke mod, what with people wondering about this and the Game Be Gone thread just down the page. ;) Else people might stop playing your mods... :)

Andy: Are you inferring that GbG is a joke mod? :( I looked in vain for the thread you mentioned "further down this page" but couldnt find it :(

On a completely different note: you will soon be able to join the cult of the unseeing eye and enjoy almost the full range of BG2 (as opposed to the WtUE mod, which, some may argue, somewhat limits your choices once you have decided to worship).

Igi: This thread. http://www.shsforums...showtopic=12707 :)

I'd also planned a quest to allow the player to join the Unseeing Eye and overthrow the other Temples - is your expansion going to do something like this?

Limits your choices? How? What? When? :crying:

Anyway, I just want to state that igi's mod will be a serious one. :P
